Where Health Technology Meets the Market

Advanced Scanners

Advanced Scanners is a development stage medical device company transitioning to first product introduction. The ORV is an optical scanning platform that captures live data on the position and characteristics of patient anatomy that ensures safe, reliable, and automated surgical navigation to a degree of accuracy not available previously. The quality, real-time data changes the standard of care.

For patients, guiding surgery leads to precision and preservation of health tissue, faster recovery, and fewer complications. For surgeons, the planned procedure can be performed faster and more precisely. For hospitals, there is reduced cost associated with extended recoveries and failed procedures.

Jeff Levine

Co-founder and CEO

Jeff Levine is Co-founder and CEO of Advanced Scanners, using proprietary optical scanning technology to automate surgical navigation. He has over 30 years of experience founding, leading, and growing multiple entrepreneurial ventures. Early in his career, Jeff founded a mail-order electronics company that he grew into a vertically integrated solutions provider and spun off multiple new business lines by providing his clients with automated call centers, package fulfillment, circuit board and consumer electronics manufacturing, and customer success processes.

In the mid 90’s he helped launch RiskWise, a big data and predictive analytics company that modeled customer behavior patterns for global financial corporations. RiskWise pioneered new client engagement methods that are now used in every consumer sector. With the backing of RiskWise, he co-founded PeopleWise, the first real-time online employment screening service. PeopleWise was an early adopter of leveraging open and proprietary data. Both companies sold to LexisNexis in 2001.

Jeff also founded World Wide Mobile Training Teams to provide hand-to-hand combat training to the U.S. Army, and served 2 years as the Chief Combatives Officer for the US Army’s 75th Training Battalion.
