With 2024 quickly ramping up, Green Room looks forward to celebrating the exciting developments taking place in health technology throughout Texas.
Many of you already know our motto, “Commit to Connect” which reflects our dedication to community as well as our expertise in interoperability and the FHIR data standard.
In 2023, we were hard at work connecting with entrepreneurs building promising startups, health technology partners, providers and other healthcare professionals.
Along the way, we helped found and grow Austin MedTech Connect, a not-for-profit hosting Connect the Corridor and Focus on the Founder events across Central Texas, as well as social events in Houston and partnerships with the Capital Factory and Health Supernova Conference in Dallas.
Additionally we worked with students at the School of Information at the University of Texas in Austin, UT Dallas UT Design Capstone School of Engineering and started a remote patient monitoring pilot program with UT Health Science Center San Antonio School of Nursing.
Our CTO Darrell Woelk, a leading expert in the FHIR data standard, continued his involvement with FHIR Connectathons, FHIR standards committees, and FHIR Accelerators.
Kristin participated as a judge, speaker, and moderator at the Texas State Innovation Series, the AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP® AgeTech Accelerator Program, HITlab’s Digital Health in the Last Mile Symposium, and the Austin Area Research Organization’s Lifescience Innovation exploration. And expanded our reach into attending Houston attending the College of Healthcare Executives breakfast and Cup of Joey Houston and Woodlands editions.
Socially, we enjoyed get-togethers like the ever popular “Drinks with Jeff” and the Austin Ladies of Health Tech gathering that supports women entrepreneurs making waves in AgeTech, Femtech, and MedTech in our community.
And Dan Greenfield has extended our reach with senior care and assisted living facilities through Senior Industry Services as part of our AgeTech initiatives.
In 2024, we are excited to continue our mission to Commit to Connect, supporting healthcare innovation in central Texas and beyond.
